We’re a family-run farm business. We don’t want your data — we want to sell you a gate. But running a website means a little information passes through our hands, so here’s the plain truth about what we collect and what we do with it.
What we collect, and why
When you contact us. If you fill out our contact form or call us, we get whatever you give us — usually your name, email or phone number, and your question. We use it for one thing: getting back to you about equipment, pricing, and availability. We keep inquiries only as long as we need them to serve you, and we never sell or trade your contact information to anyone.
When you just browse. Our website doesn’t make you create an account, and we don’t take payments online — pricing happens over the phone or by email, the old-fashioned way.
Amazon links
Some pages — like our “Gear We Use” page — link to products on Amazon.ca. We’re a participant in the Amazon.ca Associates Program, which means we earn a small commission on qualifying purchases at no extra cost to you. When you click those links, Amazon may set cookies and collect information about your visit to track that the referral came from us. That tracking is Amazon’s, not ours — we never see who clicked or what you bought. Amazon’s own privacy notice covers what they do with it.
Your information, your call
Under Canadian privacy law (PIPEDA), you can ask us what personal information we have about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. That’s an easy ask — there isn’t much. Call or email us and we’ll sort it out.
Questions
Anything about privacy, or anything else: reach us through the contact page, or call Rick (250-486-2869) or Ella (250-486-2769).
If we change how the site handles information, we’ll update this page.
