The Humble Goat Stead is a family-run farm on Fish Lake Road in Summerland, B.C. We’re Rick and Ella, and between the two of us we keep goats and chickens, run a big garden, and put up a lot of fence. This is a working homestead first — the shop grew out of it.
Why we sell farm equipment
We started stocking fencing and farm equipment for a simple reason: we needed it ourselves, and good local supply in the South Okanagan was hard to come by. Rather than drive all over the valley or wait weeks on shipping, we became a retailer — so our neighbours could get quality gates, panels, posts and hardware close to home, at honest prices.
What we carry
Everything in our Farm Equipment catalog is available through the farm. If it’s in the catalog we can get it — and the items we keep on hand here in Summerland are marked in stock. Cattle panels, farm gates, field fence, T-posts, feeders, wire and the fasteners to hold it all together. Every piece is something we’d use on our own land.
