Chicken Wire

Between coyotes, hawks, and the neighbourhood dogs, a backyard flock in the Okanagan needs a proper barrier — and this is the classic answer. The 2-inch mesh is sized right for poultry: small enough to keep hens in and most predators out, without the cost of heavier fencing the birds do not need.

The 16-gauge wire is electro-galvanized to fight off rust through wet springs and hot summers, and the 100-foot roll covers a full coop and run with wire to spare. It bends, wraps, and staples easily, so fencing an odd-shaped run is a weekend job, not a project.
