If you’re growing grapes or fruit trees in the Okanagan, the diamond post deserves a hard look. It’s a high-strength steel trellis post — comparable to wood in strength and rigidity — with a butterfly notch every 4 inches so wire and field fence clip on cleanly without extra hardware.
The class 3 hot-dipped galvanizing fights off rust and corrosion for a working life of roughly 20 to 30 years, and unlike treated wood, these posts don’t leach chemicals, making them safe for organic vineyards and gardens. Prefer the weathered look? They can be ordered ungalvanized. They’re also a stronger stand-in for a standard T-post where you need extra muscle.
Great for: vineyard trellising, orchard support, and organic operations.
