Hardware Cloth

Hardware cloth is the fix-everything roll of the farm. The tightly woven 17-gauge galvanized wires make a mesh that bends where you need it but doesn’t give up, and the coating keeps rust at bay through wet springs and hot summers.

Use it to skirt a coop against rodents, raccoons, and snakes, fence off garden beds, reinforce concrete, or handle screening and filtering jobs around the shop. Each roll is 3 feet tall by 25 feet long, available in half-inch by 1-inch and half-inch by half-inch mesh — the tighter weave when you really want nothing getting through.

Great for: predator-proofing coops, garden beds, and a hundred small repair jobs.
